Wedding Day

Hi everyone, Aly here, this week I have made a gorgeous wedding card using the A6 Vintage Car Stamp Set.
I have stamped out the car onto a stitched design circle die cut and coloured with IG1 grey and water coloured the wheels with charcoal black. I've mounted onto a deep purple scalloped edge die and popped it all onto a pretty purple patterned paper background.

See you all next Friday

Mirror Mirror

Hello, it's Liz here again.
My card today features two Colourific stamp sets -
Mirror Mirror and Alphabet and Numbers.

I stamped the mirror frame and fussy cut, then I die cut a circle to fit the centre from glitter card. You could use mirror card but I wanted a bit of bling! To add interest I stamped the letters, cut them out a bit randomly and popped them on the card using foam squares. I added flowers, butterflies and pearls as a finishing touch.

The stamp sets are available here.

Unicorn Wings - A6 Flying Unicorn Stamp Set

Hello Again

Alice here, I had a little play with the A6 Flying Unicorn stamp sets from Colourific.  This is a great little set of stamps and will be loved by every little girl.  To find these and lots more stamps click here.

To make this card, I used distress oxide inks, and made 2 rainbow backgrounds out of 5.5 square paper.  I used the Border and Stems to add a border round one of the sheets, then cut it into 4 equal squares.

I cut out 2 circles, one from the 2nd rainbow background and the other out of white card.  I cut a smaller circle from the middle of the white circle to make a frame and stamped the border around the circle.  I embossed the rainbow circle with a star embossing folder.

I attached the 4 small square evenly onto a 6 x 6 card.  I matched up the colours of the rainbow circle, raised it with pads and attached onto the card.

I stamped the Unicorn and horn, and coloured in with copics, and used a glitter pen over the top.  I stamped and coloured the Unicorns mane again and decoupaged it on top of the original.  I shaped the Unicorn and attached to the circle.

I stamped out 5 of the little flowers and coloured them in with the same colours as the rainbow background and stuck them around the circle.

I hope you like it xx

Floral ATCs

Hi it's Alison and it's time for my regular Saturday blog.
Today I'm sharing a set of ATCs made using the Best Friend stamp set. I then stamped the Spotty Background stamp using smokey grey Versafine ink. Next I stamped the curly border from the Text and Border set in red ink. I then stamped the small flower from the Best Friend set with blue ink. I also stamped the Text from the Best Friends set in yellow ink to add more detail to the background.
On a separate piece of card I stamped the flower head six times and coloured them identically. I fussy cut three of them and stuck one to each ATC. The other three heads I cut out the centre's and petals and stuck these to the other heads with silicone glue to create a 3D effect. I stamped one of the Text strips from the Text and Borders set three times. I cut these into smaller pieces and glued to my ATCs
.

Friends Forever

Hi there, its my turn to blog today and this week I have made a card using the A6 Seasons Text Stamps Set, the sentiment is from the A6 Art for Life Stamp Set. I have added butterflies and flowers from my own stash.
Basically I have stamped the text stamp all over the background with Oxide Ink then I have blended the edges and I have layered this onto some purple card and onto a base card. I have used the same Oxide colour on the butterflies and flowers and added them to the card for decoration, then added the lovely sentiment.
Have a great weekend

The Sun Will Rise....

Hello, Liz here. It's Tuesday, that means it's my turn to share what I've been up to! This week I got out my art journal and had a play with two of the stamp sets - Grunge Icons and Sun Will Rise.

The background has been stencilled using Adirondack ink 'Peach Bellini'. I then used various stamps from the two sets and coloured with my Distress Marker Pens. I'm pretty pleased with how it all came together!

Bloom and Grow - A6 Blossom and Grow Stamp Set

Good Morning

Alice here, today I want to share a Card and Artist Trading Coin I made with the new A6 Blossom and Grow and A6 Seasons Text stamp sets.  The "Blossom and Grow"  is a lovely little set of stamps and is very versatile.  To find these stamps and many more on the Colourific Website click here

I had never heard of Artist Trading Coins until I saw my fellow DT members showing them.  This is a great idea for using up all the scraps.

For the card, I stamped the Seasons Text stamp onto pink card and embossed with Silver Glitter embossing powder.  I wrapped a ribbon round twice and tied it off.

I used some Inks to colour a piece of white card.  When this was completely dry, the flower was stamped to the side of the card and embossed with Silver Glitter embossing powder.  I used the more of the ink from my pallet to add deeper shades of pink on the flower and added fine splashes of pink ink onto the white space.

When it was completely dry, I attached the pink border and flower panel onto a piece of pink card then layered this onto a 6 x 6 card.  I added some pink gems to finish it off.

For the Artist Trading Coin, I cut out 2 x 2.5 inch layers of thick card and glued them together.  I had a piece of pink card that I tried to foil with the Seasons Text background.  It didn't foil properly, but I was able to cut a 2.5 inch circle from the best part and glue it onto the thicker circle and inked the edges.  I used a die to cut out a hessian piece and trimmed it down.  I stamped the "Blossom" flower onto white card and embossed with Silver Glitter embossing powder and used the remainder of my ink to colour it pink.  I finally stamped the stem with green ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I built up the coin using layers and raised the flower to give depth.  Finally I stamped out a sentiment from my stash and cut the words up and mounted them onto the coin.

Thank you for looking xx

Floral Artist Trading Coins

Hi it's new design team member Alison. Today I'm sharing a set of Artist Trading Coins made using the brand new Best Friends stamp set.
To create them I covered three blank coins with white gesso. When it had dried I coloured them with Cosmic Shimmer Colour cloud, ensuring they blended well.
I then stamped the small script stamp twice on each coin. Next I stamped the Spotty Background on to all three coins. Using my white Posca pen I drew round some of the spots. I also covered some spots with glossy accents.
Whilst this dried I stamped three of the flowers with text centres and six of the small flowers, using Versafine Smokey grey ink. I coloured these with my Prismacolor pencils, then fussy cut them out. Next I shaped the flowers using a foam mat and ball tool.
I used one of the dies in my stash to give some extra texture to the coins and then added the flowers.

Life in the Fast Lane - A6 Sports Car Stamp Set

Good Morning All

Welcome to my first blog as Design Team Member for Colourific.  I have used the A6 Sports Car stamp set for my first card.

·         I used a stencil to ink through the corners of a background paper and matted it onto a piece of navy card.
·         Stamped the wheels/cogs from the same stamp set to make the little background panel and a very old background map stamp from my stash (I have no idea where it came from) for the other panel.  These were both matted onto navy card.
·          The  car was stamped and coloured with copic markers and fussy cut.  I used Glossy Accents in the windows and along the trim and round the wheels of the car.
·          Used some glitter card and matted it onto navy card for the border.
·          Finally I stamped the “Life in the Fast Lane” stamp from this set onto white card and embossed and matted onto navy card.

Love Life

Good Morning Monday again.  The weather here has been awful, rain, hail, snow, and sunshine all in the one day! Too wet and cold to go out...
