Very easy to make up with only one glue line needed

I then stamped up the flowers and leaves a few times so I could layer up
I coloured these with distress ink and used a white Posca pen for detail
There are some tiny little middle stamps in the sets I covered these with Nuvo Drops and left all to dry.............
I made up my flowers and attached middles , there very shiny in real life
Attached the flowers to my Pillow boxes

A very easy, and simple project
They just need to be filled with goodies now

A Little Note To Say - A6 Leaves Clear Stamp Set

Good Morning

Alice here, hope you are all well and ready for another Monday morning!

A week or so ago, I found a new technique to make a wreath.  You can make your own Build a Wreath template by following tutorials on You Tube.  I knew this technique would work well with the Colourific A6 Leaves Clear Stamp Set.  You can find this stamp set, and many more super stamps  by looking on the Colourific Website here

Materials Used:

6 x 6 White Card
5.5 x 5.5 White Mat
5.5 x 5.5 Green spotty mat
5 x 5 White Mat
Butterfly Die
Various coloured inks

  • Inked the largest mat with sage green ink and the smaller one with lilac ink.
  • Used my stamping platform and my homemade template to make the wreath using various sizes of leaves and flowers.  Using a scalpel I carefully cut out the centre of the wreath.
  • Using the stamping platform, I stamped the border around the edge of the 6x6 card, then layered the largest mat onto the white card.
  • Stamped the sentiment onto white card, cut it out and inked the edges with lilac ink.  I shaped the sentiment using a bone folder and attached it through the wreath, then used foam pads to attach the wreath mat onto the green spotty mat and attached it to the card.
  • Finished off with a die cut butterfly which was inked with green and lilac inks. Finally added small pearls to the card and the centre of the butterfly.
I really liked this card and hope you do too.

Marleen DT - Watercolour Peonies

Hello Everyone.

I'm Marleen and today I wanna share my first post since returning to the design team for
Colourific

I was on the DT last year but took a break from crafting and Annelies has been so kind to offer me to return to the team. Many thanks Annelies, I'm delighted to be back x

This card is a simple stamping and masking technique.
I started by stamping the (red) flower in the corner. I then re-stamped the flower onto a post-it-note and cut it out. Adding the post-it-note over the flower I then stamped the (pink) flower in the other corner and finished with the (orange) flower above. I made post-it-note masks for all the flowers and stamped the leaves .

Then it was a simple matter of stamping my greeting and colouring in. I tend to use water colours or water colour pencils for my colouring and that's what I used here.

A very simple card but rather effective.

I used the flowers from the - A5 Peonies stamp set
and the sentiment is from the - A6 Princess Text set.

And that is it from me for today.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Build a Wreath - A6 Blossom and Grow Stamp Set and A6 Leaves Clear Stamp Set

Hi everyone, Alice here,  A bit late in getting this on for today, but thought I would post it anyway.  I was having a little browse through some You Tube tutorials on inking techniques, when I stumbled across a fabulous tutorial.  No, it's not what you think, absolutely nothing to do with Inking techniques at all.

It was a tutorial on how to make a "Build a Wreath Template" for a stamping platform.  I studied the tutorial, but way too much measuring for me.  I went to the Scan n Cut and produced my own template using square shapes.  Probably not the best in the world, but it worked for me.

I knew instantly, that this would work well with the A6 Moderne Leaves from Coulourific which you can find here.  I also used some of the small flowers from the A6 Camper Van and A6 Blossom and Grown Sets.

Here are some of the samples I played around with, some are better than others, but I am just learning!!  I have made one into a card which you can see in one of my later blogs.

Moderne Flowers - again - A5 Moderne Flower Stamp Set

I just love this stamp set it's such a beautiful and versatile little flower stamp.  To create the background paper, I stamped the A6  Leaves Stamps onto pink paper, then embossed with white embossing powder.  I inked the paper with green and yellow distress inks.  I stamped the A5 Moderne Flowers 4 times with versa mark ink pad and embossed with white embossing powder.  I cut each flower out with a hexagon die and inked the background with yellow and green distress inks.  I coloured the flowers with water colours.  I used a larger hexagon die and cut out 4 in black card, and layered the flowers on top.  I used black card and layered the backing paper on top of this, then cut out the sentiment with a die and made a messy bow.  Once it was all assembled, I thought that for balance, I should just have used 3 hexagons!  Lesson learned.  You can find this Stamp Set and many more here.

Thank you for looking.

Bloom and Grow - A6 Blossom and Grow Stamp Set

Good Morning

Alice here, today I want to share a Card and Artist Trading Coin I made with the new A6 Blossom and Grow and A6 Seasons Text stamp sets.  The "Blossom and Grow"  is a lovely little set of stamps and is very versatile.  To find these stamps and many more on the Colourific Website click here

I had never heard of Artist Trading Coins until I saw my fellow DT members showing them.  This is a great idea for using up all the scraps.

For the card, I stamped the Seasons Text stamp onto pink card and embossed with Silver Glitter embossing powder.  I wrapped a ribbon round twice and tied it off.

I used some Inks to colour a piece of white card.  When this was completely dry, the flower was stamped to the side of the card and embossed with Silver Glitter embossing powder.  I used the more of the ink from my pallet to add deeper shades of pink on the flower and added fine splashes of pink ink onto the white space.

When it was completely dry, I attached the pink border and flower panel onto a piece of pink card then layered this onto a 6 x 6 card.  I added some pink gems to finish it off.

For the Artist Trading Coin, I cut out 2 x 2.5 inch layers of thick card and glued them together.  I had a piece of pink card that I tried to foil with the Seasons Text background.  It didn't foil properly, but I was able to cut a 2.5 inch circle from the best part and glue it onto the thicker circle and inked the edges.  I used a die to cut out a hessian piece and trimmed it down.  I stamped the "Blossom" flower onto white card and embossed with Silver Glitter embossing powder and used the remainder of my ink to colour it pink.  I finally stamped the stem with green ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I built up the coin using layers and raised the flower to give depth.  Finally I stamped out a sentiment from my stash and cut the words up and mounted them onto the coin.

Thank you for looking xx

Colourful block stamping- DT member Verity

Hello! So good to be here. It's Verity here from Pretty Little Button with another card for you today. This card features stamps from the A6 Moderne flowers clear stamp set from Colourific. This stamp set has some beautiful designs to it, but I just picked the two sketchy stamps for these cards. I wanted to show you how versatile this set is, that you can use these stamps in other ways than just the way they were first intended for. They were perfect for colourful block stamping, creating two bold and modern cards.

Colourful block stamping card details:

For this first card, mask off a square on an 8.25" x 3.5 white cardstock. Using the main flower from the stamp set, stamp repeatedly over the square in black ink. For a professional look, make sure you stamp over the edge of the square, though make sure you have masked your card beneath off as well.

Using a marker colour in sections of the flower for a modern bold look. I used a Zig Clean Clear Clour brush here but you can use any marker as long as you have used the right ink and paper for that marker.

Mat this panel with two thin strips of black card and wrap black twine around the bottom. Foam mount this panel onto an 8.25" x 4 white card base. Stamp a sentiment from you crafty stash and finish with a few Nuvo drops.

For this second card, mask off a long strip down an 8.25" x 4 white card base. Using a piece of acetate, ink smoosh selection of distress oxides onto the card. The easiest way to do this is by smooshing the ink pad onto a smooth slick surface like a glass mat. Spray this with water until the ink moves about. Place the acetate sheet down and pick up some ink. Transfer this over to your card, and smoosh down.

Keep applying colours until you are happy; you can dry the layers in between if needed. Using the sketchy petal from the stamp set, repeatedly stamp in black up and down the panel. Just make sure you haven't removed your masking tape yet.

When happy, remove the masking tape and stamp a sentiment from your crafty stash. To finish wrap black twine around to help bring contrast to the card.

Colourful block stamping creates bold and modern cards, perfect for any occasion. Whatsmore you can use any stamp to create these card, even if you aren't using them in the traditional way. The moderne flower clear stamp set is a perfect example of using them in a different way than intended, showing the versatility of this stamp set!

I hope you love today's card and don't forget to check out the stamp set, link below. If you loved this card please leave a comment below as we would love to hear from you.

Until next time!

Love Life

Good Morning Monday again.  The weather here has been awful, rain, hail, snow, and sunshine all in the one day! Too wet and cold to go out...
