Marleen DT, Sleigh ride..

Hello Everyone
and welcome to the blog.

Once again wednesday and my turn to share some inspiration using the amazing stamps from Colourific.

For todays card I've used the "Santa's Sleigh" set.

Once again a very simple card.
I started with a black piece of card stock which I ran through my big shot with an embossing folder.

I then stamped, also on black card stock, the sleigh with versamark ink and heat set it using gold embossing powder.
I die cut the greeting and the holly for the corner and heat set them as well with the same gold embossing powder.

I finished by creating a mat, using the same embossing powder, by just swiping my versamark pad around the edges and heatsetting the powder.

And that is all from me for today.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Vellum Leaf Wreath - DT Member Verity

Hello! So good to be here. It's Verity here from Pretty Little Button with another card for you today. I had a vision of how this card was going to turn out when I started, and I can say, this card is exactly like how I had planned it. When I saw the A6 leaves stamp set from Colourific, I thought they would be perfect for creating a wreath. Whatsmore, pair it with vellum and embossing powder and a beautiful vellum leaf wreath card was created!

Vellum Floral Wreath card details:

Start off by repeatedly stamping the outline leaves from the A6 Leaves clear stamp set in versamark onto vellum. Cover this with white embossing powder and heat set.

Once you have stamped and embossed enough leaves fussy cut these out. Start arranging the leaves onto a kraft card panel - you may find it useful to draw a faint pencilled circle for guidance. Using strong adhesive, secure the leaves down, overlapping and weaving the leaves for interest.

Add a layered die cut sentiment to the middle of the wreath. I also added a black die cut sentiment at the back, offset to one side to create a shadow. This will help the sentiment stand out from the wreath.

To soften the edges, lightly ink blend white pigment ink and foam mount the card panel onto a square kraft card base. To finish off, add a selection of sequins, scattering them around the wreath.

I hope you love today's card and don't forget to check out the stamp set, link below. If you loved this card please leave a comment below as we would love to hear from you.

Until next time!

Custom stamped backgrounds with small stamps - DT Member Verity (Video Tutorial)

Hello! So good to be here. It's Verity here from Pretty Little Button with another card for you today. Whatsmore, this post also features a video tutorial showing you how these cards were made. For these cards, I used a selection of stamps from the A6 Marquise petal and circular clear stamp set from Colourific. These stamps can be used in a variety of combinations to create some unique and funky flowers for your cards. However, today I am showing you how to get more out of the stamps and use these small stamps to create custom stamped backgrounds. I combined this with an emboss resist technique to create a gradient coloured background - perfect backgrounds for your sentiments to pop from. So, hit play and see just how easy they are to make!
