Love Life

Good Morning

Monday again.  The weather here has been awful, rain, hail, snow, and sunshine all in the one day! Too wet and cold to go out, so spent the day in the Craft Room.    Thought I would try something different with the A6 Love Hearts stamp set.

Materials Used:

  • Using the mask, I stamped the Large Love Heart 5 times down the edge of the card, about an inch in from the edge.  I fussy cut out the card along the edge.
  • Stamped the large Love Heart 5 times on different papers and fussy cut them out.
  • Inked up the front of the card with pink ink and randomly stamped heart stamps over it.  Used glitter glue on the larger hearts.
  • Added a white border and a piece of ribbon around the card
  • Finally added each paper heart over its corresponding shape along the edge of the card.  Added a gem to each heart
  • Stamped out “Love” and “Life” and attached to card.
  • Added some gems to bottom of ribbon.
Thank you for looking.

Marleen DT - Stiched Friends in the snow.

Hello Everyone
and welcome to my blog.

Today I want to share a quick little card I made with stamps from Colourific.
Annelies have a great selection of stamps in the STORE, but the "Stitched Friends" are one of my favourite sets.. I have also used the "Christmas Minis" set for my card today.

For this little card I started by making a background of snow. Its made by simply tearing a piece of copy paper into something that resembles mountains. Then simply swipe your blending tool, starting on the paper and out onto your card, so you build up colour. Move the paper around and repeat till you get the desired effect.

I used the "Spotty Background" stamp to create the snowfall on the background. I simply stamped with versamark ink and set with white embossing powder.

My little stitched snowman is stamped and coloured with watercolour pencils on to water colour card stock, as is my little robin.
The candy cane I stamped with red distress ink and just dragged a bit of the stamped colour around.

I added them all to my snow background with foam tape, mounted the background at an angle on to my mat and then stuck to my card.
And that is all from me for today.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

A5 Gnomes - Christmas Greetings

Good Morning

Alice here.  Hope you are all getting well prepared for Christmas.  Sorry about my picture today, it seems to be very light.  It is a much deeper shade in real life!  I used the A5 Gnomes Stamps for this and the small tree from the A5 Trees Stamp Set.  You can find all the stamps I used and many more on the Colourific Website

Materials Used:

A5 Gnomes
A5 Trees
11.5 x 21cm Kraft Card Blank
10.75 x 19.25cm Gold Mirri Mat
9.5 x 19cm Kraft Card Mat
Various colours of distress inks
Glitter Glue

  • Using a little piece of double sided tape I secured the smaller piece of kraft card centrally onto the card blank then secured these layers onto a Stamping Platform with magnets.
  • Stamped the Gnome with Vintage Photo Distress ink onto 9.5x19.25cm Kraft Card.  Leaving the card on the stamping platform  I Sprayed with water and let the dye seep outwards.  Used a paintbrush to bring it out a little further.
  • Keeping the card still in place on the stamping platform, put some Vintage Photo Distress Ink and Green Dye ink onto glass mat. Using water and paint brush I painted the Gnome with muted colours of the inks.  When this was dry, I stamped over the image.
  • Still keeping the work on the Stamping Platform, I put a mask over the Gnome and used the small Christmas Tree to stamp a border around the 2 layers of card.
  • Remove from stamping platform and separate the 2 layers of card.  Mat the image onto the Gold mat, and using foam pads mount it onto the Kraft Card making sure the border of trees match up.
  • To finish off I added a Christmas Greeting layered onto a piece of gold mirri card.
  • Used glitter glue for the pompom, beard and stars.
Thank you for looking, and happy crafting.
