Say Thank You Hibiscus Style

Good Morning

Alice here with another Monday morning blog post.  Had some fun, playing with the Colourific A5 Hibiscus Stamp Set.  Have a look at my makes.

Materials Used:

A5 Hibiscus Stamp Set
A6 Leaves Stamp Set
Black Card
White Card
White Embossing Powder
Washi Tape
Nuvo Drops
Thank You Sentiment Stamp
Black Fine Liner
Gems
White Ribbon

  • Cut out a Black DL Card.  Cut a piece of white Card 1/4" shorter than DL card.  Placed the Washi Tape diagonally across the white card.  Randomly stamped the stems and swirls over the card and embossed.  Used Bundled Sage and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink to ink alternate corners of the card.  Stamped "Thank You" sentiment along bottom of card.  Used fine liner pen to add detail around each coloured side.
  • Stamped 2 yellow and 1 pink large Hibiscus Stamp and centre stamen and fussy cut out.  Shaped the flowers with a bone folder, and attached stamen to centre of each flower.  Added flowers diagonally down centre of card, the stamped out 6 leaves, coloured with Copics and attached to card.  To finish off I added 3 gems at either side of flowers
  • Made a matching tag using same procedure but using only 2 small Hibiscus flowers.
  • Made the box using a die.  Made some pink and bundled sage background paper, cut and attached to box.  Stamped a middle size Hibiscus flower and attached to front of box. Added some leaves to finish off.
Thank you for looking.

hello

Hello, it's Liz here. Today my card features the Hydrangeas Set. I masked off a section of the card using washi tape. Then I randomly stamped the flowers and coloured. I used a fine tip marker pen to edge the stamped area, I think this gives a nice 'finish'. Added a sentiment and some sequins and job done!

Have you entered the challenge? It's always 'anything goes' so it's nice and easy. There's a gorgeous stamp set up for grabs! All the details are here.

A Little Note To Say - A6 Leaves Clear Stamp Set

Good Morning

Alice here, hope you are all well and ready for another Monday morning!

A week or so ago, I found a new technique to make a wreath.  You can make your own Build a Wreath template by following tutorials on You Tube.  I knew this technique would work well with the Colourific A6 Leaves Clear Stamp Set.  You can find this stamp set, and many more super stamps  by looking on the Colourific Website here

Materials Used:

6 x 6 White Card
5.5 x 5.5 White Mat
5.5 x 5.5 Green spotty mat
5 x 5 White Mat
Butterfly Die
Various coloured inks

  • Inked the largest mat with sage green ink and the smaller one with lilac ink.
  • Used my stamping platform and my homemade template to make the wreath using various sizes of leaves and flowers.  Using a scalpel I carefully cut out the centre of the wreath.
  • Using the stamping platform, I stamped the border around the edge of the 6x6 card, then layered the largest mat onto the white card.
  • Stamped the sentiment onto white card, cut it out and inked the edges with lilac ink.  I shaped the sentiment using a bone folder and attached it through the wreath, then used foam pads to attach the wreath mat onto the green spotty mat and attached it to the card.
  • Finished off with a die cut butterfly which was inked with green and lilac inks. Finally added small pearls to the card and the centre of the butterfly.
I really liked this card and hope you do too.

Happy Campervan

Hi everyone,

It's my turn to post my first card as a member of the Colourific Design Team.  I've called my card Happy Campervan because it reminds me of a holiday I had in one when I was young and everyone I know that has a campervan absolutely loves it.  It would make a great birthday card for a 17 year old as they are now old enough to learn to drive.

Materials used:

7 x 7 Card blank
Stamping card
Campervan stamp pack
Versafine Black Onyx
Wow clear embossing powder
Christine Pooler ink pad minis - Party Collection
Silver and black watercolour paint
Glossy Accents
Button from my stash
3D foam Pads
Gems
Uniball Signo white gel pen

Here's how I made it:

To make my card, I stamped and embossed the campervan onto a piece of stamping card using an Onyx Black Versafine ink pad and clear embossing powder.

I coloured the image in using Christine Pooler Mini ink pads with silver and black watercoloured paint.

Then cut out the image and added glossy accents to the lights, gems to the indicators, a button as the badge and added a little white pen as a highlight. Then let it dry - walk away!!!!

For the backing I stamped the medium flower onto a piece of 6.x 6" stamping card to make a border.

I mounted the background onto a wine coloured card and then onto the white card base.  The campervan is adhered to the card by using a combination of 3D foam and 3D glue gel.

Finally, I stamped and cut out the number plate and the Happy Birthday sentiment and used a 3D foam pad to give them extra dimension.

The campervan stamp set contains 22 stamps in total and can be bought on the Colourific site here along with many more beautiful stamps.

Hope you like it, have fun!

Build a Wreath - A6 Blossom and Grow Stamp Set and A6 Leaves Clear Stamp Set

Hi everyone, Alice here,  A bit late in getting this on for today, but thought I would post it anyway.  I was having a little browse through some You Tube tutorials on inking techniques, when I stumbled across a fabulous tutorial.  No, it's not what you think, absolutely nothing to do with Inking techniques at all.

It was a tutorial on how to make a "Build a Wreath Template" for a stamping platform.  I studied the tutorial, but way too much measuring for me.  I went to the Scan n Cut and produced my own template using square shapes.  Probably not the best in the world, but it worked for me.

I knew instantly, that this would work well with the A6 Moderne Leaves from Coulourific which you can find here.  I also used some of the small flowers from the A6 Camper Van and A6 Blossom and Grown Sets.

Here are some of the samples I played around with, some are better than others, but I am just learning!!  I have made one into a card which you can see in one of my later blogs.

Blossom Flower with Seasons Text - A6 Blossom and Grow Stamp Set A6 Seasons Text Stamp Set

Good Morning

Alice here to show you my latest DT Sample.  This was made using the A6 Blossom and Grow Stamp Set and the A6 Seasons Text background stamp.  You can find these stamps and many more fabulous stamps by clicking here

Materials: A6 Seasons Text and A6 Blossom and Grow Stamp Sets.  6x6 blank card, black card and white card, Butterfy Die, Embossing Powder and some Gems.

Stamped and embossed the Seasons Text background and matted it onto black card.  Stamped the Blossom Flower head, masked it off and added half the leaf stem.  Embossed this with black embossing powder and matted onto black card.

Matted and layered the background paper onto black card, and attached to card blank.  Made a little border by stamping one of the smaller flowers onto white card, then matting it onto black card.

Attached the border to centre of the card and attached the background and blossom layers to the card.  To finish off I added a little die cut butterfly and some gems.

Thank you for looking,

See you all next week
