Peonies

Hello, it's Liz here. Today my card features the 'Peony' set. I stamped onto watercolour card using my Distress Markers. I used Aged Mahogany for the flowers and Frayed Burlap for the leaves. I like that I can use my markers directly onto stamps if I don't have the colour I need in an ink pad. Then I coloured with the markers, some water and a paintbrush. I know a lot of folks don't like to fussy cut but I love it! So relaxing.

Thanks for stopping by today, happy crafting!

Happy Campervan

Hi everyone,

It's my turn to post my first card as a member of the Colourific Design Team.  I've called my card Happy Campervan because it reminds me of a holiday I had in one when I was young and everyone I know that has a campervan absolutely loves it.  It would make a great birthday card for a 17 year old as they are now old enough to learn to drive.

Materials used:

7 x 7 Card blank
Stamping card
Campervan stamp pack
Versafine Black Onyx
Wow clear embossing powder
Christine Pooler ink pad minis - Party Collection
Silver and black watercolour paint
Glossy Accents
Button from my stash
3D foam Pads
Gems
Uniball Signo white gel pen

Here's how I made it:

To make my card, I stamped and embossed the campervan onto a piece of stamping card using an Onyx Black Versafine ink pad and clear embossing powder.

I coloured the image in using Christine Pooler Mini ink pads with silver and black watercoloured paint.

Then cut out the image and added glossy accents to the lights, gems to the indicators, a button as the badge and added a little white pen as a highlight. Then let it dry - walk away!!!!

For the backing I stamped the medium flower onto a piece of 6.x 6" stamping card to make a border.

I mounted the background onto a wine coloured card and then onto the white card base.  The campervan is adhered to the card by using a combination of 3D foam and 3D glue gel.

Finally, I stamped and cut out the number plate and the Happy Birthday sentiment and used a 3D foam pad to give them extra dimension.

The campervan stamp set contains 22 stamps in total and can be bought on the Colourific site here along with many more beautiful stamps.

Hope you like it, have fun!

Happy Birthday Friend

Hello. It's Liz here, today I want to share a really easy card.
I simply stamped the flower from the Sun Will Rise set over my background stamping. As the card was super quick I had time to make a little matching gift box. The gorgeous butterfly is also from the Sun Will Rise set.

The stamp sets are available here and postage to UK is free on orders over £5!

Birthday Unicorn - Design Team Member: Verity

Hello! So good to be here. It's Verity here from Pretty Little Button with another card for you today. When I was colouring in the Unicorn from the A5 Unicorns and Chasing Rainbows clear stamp set I knew straight away this would make a perfect birthday card for a little girl. I decided to play on the theme of pinks and purples but added a touch of grey to modernise it. This is a great card to have in my stash ready to send out, you should make one too!

Birthday Unicorn card details:

To start off, stamp the unicorn onto hot press watercolour paper in versamark ink and heat emboss. I used Pure Platinum WOW! Embossing powder as this would pair lovely with the colour scheme of the card.

Next, I used my Tropical watercolour pan from Prima marketing to colour the unicorn in.  I added more colour to areas in the shadow to add some dimension and depth. I also used a soft grey ink to add a little shading around the edge of the horse head.

To add sparkle to the unicorn I added versamark ink with the use of the versamark pen and add holographic embossing powder, and heat set this. Once the unicorn was complete, this was fussy cut-out.

For the rest of the card, I die cut a stitched circle out of purple card. For added interest, I clear heat embossed the A6 Tiny flower background clear stamp. Before foam mounting this onto the card, I used soft stencil brushes to ink blend Tattered Rose distress oxide onto the card panel. I wanted a soft pink haze around the die cut circle.

I cut down a few grey strips of card and adhered this onto the card panel with double-sided tape. Both the die cut circle and then the unicorn was foam mounted onto the card to give lots of dimensions. A grey die cut sentiment was added to the card along with a small stamped sentiment in matching ink.

To finish the card off, a selection of purple and pink sequins were added to the card panel.

I hope you love today's card and don't forget to check out the stamp set, link below. If you loved this card please leave a comment below as we would love to hear from you.

Until next time!

Love Life

Good Morning Monday again.  The weather here has been awful, rain, hail, snow, and sunshine all in the one day! Too wet and cold to go out...
