When Stained Glass becomes a Flower ~ Colourific

Happy Thursday Everyone

This week I have had great fun playing with the stamp set

A6 Stained Glass Kaleidescope

With a few snips here and there

I turned it into a flower!

How many possibilities with this Stamp set

I coloured up using Distress Ink refils  and using the same colours as I did for the flower did a few splashes for my card background

I also used stamp set

It's Christmas....

Hi there Jan here today

This week I have been playing with the amazing Christmas Mini Stamps

I had oodles of fun as you can see below

I started of by making a card and a matching bauble tag

I masked of an area and used Distress Oxides, with some splashes of water and white paint

I stamped the images to make a scene and coloured up using Distress Inks

You need to look carefully for the snowy, starry sky

My second project were a couple of quick tags /toppers

Oxide background with some random stencils and some more cute stamps

My third project some ATCoins, a big love of mine to make

Again Oxide backgound and then using the amazing Mini stamps that were painted  - I finished of these makes using Nuvo Drops

My final project for this week is some mini cards with matching envelopes, these would be perfect for the children to colour in and give to there friends , there are so many stamps in this set (29!!) that each card could be different

My other idea for these stamps would be an advent box with a little drawer with a stamp on each, plenty to choose from , I ran out of time this week but maybe a project for the future

For my project this week I made 3 cards

These cards are 6" x 6"

I stamped using Archival Ink onto water colour card

Using Distress Inks to colour and white posca for fine detail

(loving the colours)

I adored the campervan there is so much detail and the set contains so many stamps .

Included is a set of numbers and another number plate so you could fully create your own to match the recipient

I finished of using the large sentiment from Say it with Flowers

It is so good how the sets can be combined and work so well with each other

Modern or Retro Christmas Bauble card - DT Member: Verity

Hello! So good to be here. It's Verity here from Pretty Little Button with another card for you today. I have another card today using the Peace & Joy stamp set from Colourific. Today's post features two cards using this stamp set to create a modern or retro style card and a very easy to make if in a hurry!

Modern or Retro Christmas Bauble card details:

For the modern card, start off by stamping a variety of the baubles onto white card. You could do this in a variety of different coloured modern inks or heat embossed for a metallic look. To create these cards, I had the digital file and therefore foiled them. However, you can foil them with either a glue pad, or bonding powder. 

Once you have stamped a collection of baubles, fussy cut these out and adhere a piece of white thread to each one to 'hang' the baubles from. I used kraft card for my base and panel, as I wanted to add white paint splatters to the background. Once these were dry, you can adhere directly on to the panel or foam mount your bauble.

However, pay attention to the threads, as you may want to mount some of these underneath a bauble. When you adhere a bauble, pull the thread taught a wrap over the top of the card panel. Using some tape, adhere the thread down to the backside of the cad panel.  Lastly, stamp a sentiment from the Christmas time text stamp set and mount this onto the card.

For the second card, I went for a more retro look. Again stamp out a selection of baubles in ink or embossing powder. As I only had access to the digital file, these baubles were foiled which you can do with a glue pad or bonding powder.

Before fussy cutting these out, I used 3 Zig Clean colour real brush markers to colour some of the baubles in. This colour combination paired with the gold of the baubles gave a retro feel to these baubles.

The baubles were adhered onto a tall card panel as with the card before. To change up the background, I used gold Nuvo drops to create shimmer and depth to the background an. This card was finished off by matting another stamped sentiment from the Christmas Time Text stamp set.

Make a wish on a rainbow card - Design team member: Verity

Hello! So good to be here. It's Verity here from Pretty Little Button with my first post for Colourific.co.uk! Colourific stamps has some great stamps to choose from, check out the link at the end of the post to visit the shop. Today's card is a lovely bright happy card using the A5 Unicorns & Chasing Rainbow set from Colourific.co.uk. I thought this card would be perfect for anyone who loves a rainbow and let's be honest who doesn't?! Or a great child's birthday card! I googled if you can make a wish on a rainbow. Apparently, when you see a rainbow, you should draw a cross on the ground and then you can make a wish on the rainbow!

Make a wish on a rainbow details:

To start off, stamp with versamark ink onto paper that has some tooth too it, as this was coloured in with pencils. Alternatively, you could colour this with alcohol markers or watercolours, but just make sure you use the right paper. I used Strathmore tone grey paper for this as I love how the pencil goes down onto this paper. 

To create a little interest to the rainbow, I used a slightly darker shade towards the end of each stripe of the rainbow and added a light area/highlight to the left side of the arch. Make sure you start of lightly applying the colour so you can add layers and blend between the shades. 

Once the rainbow was coloured, I stamped over it again using my stamping platform to heat emboss the lines. You can leave it without this stage if you prefer. Just using a simple pair of scissor I fussy cut the rainbow out. 

To make the rest of the card, I die cut circle out of scrap paper and use the negative to adhere to my card panel to create a mask. Using a cloud edge die from my stash to create a temporary stencil, I ink blended Salty ocean distress oxide and Faded jeans distress oxide of the stencil to create the background.

The rainbow was foam mounted onto the card. I also stamped and heat embossed two clouds from the stamp set, and added a little shading with pencils. These were added to the bottom of the rainbow. To finish, I added a small heat embossed sentiment from my craft stash and added a few rainbow jewels with glossy accents.

Champagne & Cocktails or too much to drink - Can not decide

I had fun making this wedding card. First time using Copic markers to colour

anything in detail. This was the third bottle I coloured in.

This card was made using stamp set A5 Champagne & Cocktails

plus my own sentiment with a red ribbon down 

left hand side to finish. This was a very challenging card to make
