The Last Rose of Summer

Morning everyone, Maria here, it’s Friday so it’s my turn to blog. I’m having a rest from the new launch stamps to make a card inspired by my garden - in particular my Happy Anniversary rose bush which has had its final flourish this year.  This card is made using the Blossom and Grow stamp set from Colourific, and I wanted to give it the Autumn feel so I used Craft card and Distress Oxides to give it that muted look.
Here’s what you will need:
A4 sheet of Craft Card
A4 sheet Black Card
A4 sheet of yellow Card - the one I used is patterned and perfumed.
Versamark
Gold embossing powder
Distress Oxides - Candy Apple, Peeled Paint and Brushed Corduroy
Blossom and Grow stamp set from Colourific.
Glue and 3D foam pads.

Here’s how I made it:

  1. Cut a piece of Craft Card 4.5 x 4.5” square, stamp and emboss two of the roses, crossing the stems by shaping the polymer.
  2. Colour the petals using the Candied Apple and the leaves using Peeled Paint.
  3. Using the small spiral stamp, randomly stamp in the brown corduroy randomly around the roses.
  4. Distress the edges by blending the brushed corduroy.
  5. Stamp the sentiment on a separate piece of craft card using the brushed corduroy and mount on a piece of the yellow card.  Adhere this to the card using a 3D foam pad.
  6. Mount this topper onto a piece of black card leaving 0.5cm border and then onto the Yellow card, leaving a 1 cm border.  Attach this onto a 6x6” card base.
All finished, now back to the new stamp launch. Not long now 😁

Love Life

Good Morning Monday again.  The weather here has been awful, rain, hail, snow, and sunshine all in the one day! Too wet and cold to go out...
