ANNELIES BROWN – Owner of Colourific

Owner and designer of this blog

ANNELIES BROWN

Hi,  I am Annelies and I am the owner and designer of Colourific. I have been designing and creating all of my life and could not live without my crafting. I am a cake decorator and also have an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design. I started making wedding stationery and greeting cards when I left college after my course in Graphic Design and eventually found a job designing for a craft company in Scotland. This is how I first entered the craft industry.

I love designing something new and original for you all to play and experiment with and would be thrilled if you made something using our stamps.

I am so pleased that you have joined me and really hope you enjoy the journey. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions and I'll try to answer them the best way that I can. I am here to help in any way possible.

Love Annelies xx

Champagne & Cocktails or too much to drink - Can not decide

Congratulations Champagne bottle on your wedding day handmade by Annelies Brown
I had fun making this wedding card. First time using Copic markers to colour
anything in detail. This was the third bottle I coloured in.
This card was made using stamp set A5 Champagne & Cocktails
plus my own sentiment with a red ribbon down
left hand side to finish. This was a very challenging card to make

Rambling Flowers & Leaves card

Flowers and leaves rambling in and out the word love handmade by Annelies Brown
I made this card which was inspired by a video I watched by Jennifer McGuire
Used stamp sets A4 Alphabet & Numbers, A6 Leaves and A6 Moderne Flowers
The stems and centre of leaves were hand drawn with a fine liner to finish

Flowers, Flowers and more Flowers

Stamped flowers using single marquise shaped stamps and border stamps handmade by Annelies Brown
This is the first card I made using the stamp sets
A6 Marquise Petals & Circular and A6 Borders & Stems

Firstly, I stamped the petals for the flowers with the marquise shapes
then coloured them in with distress inks using a water brush
then I added and stems and finally the leaves. The centres of the leaves
were drawn with a fine liner to finish

Love Life

Good Morning Monday again.  The weather here has been awful, rain, hail, snow, and sunshine all in the one day! Too wet and cold to go out...
